Marligen’s DNA Mass Ladder are designed for accurate estimation
of the size and quantity of double-stranded DNA fragments following
electrophoresis. The DNA Mass Ladders are conveniently supplied in
loading buffer for direct application to either TAE or TBE agarose
gels.
Broad Range DNA Mass Ladder

Figure 1 demonstrates the performance of the Broad
Range DNA Mass Ladder. The lane was loaded with 10 μL of the Broad Range
DNA Mass Ladder run on a 1% agarose gel in 1X TAE and stained with
ethidium bromide. Sharp, well-spaced bands covering a broad range of
fragment sizes from 300 bp up to 10 kb make determining both the molecular
weights and amounts of double-stranded DNA fragments simple and fast.
PCR DNA Mass Ladder

Figure 2 demonstrates the performance of the PCR
Mass Ladder. The lane was loaded with 10 μL of the PCR DNA Mass Ladder
run on a 1.2% agarose gel in 1X TAE and stained with ethidium bromine.
Sharp, well-spaced bands covering a broad range of fragment sizes from
100 bp up to 2 kb make determining both the molecular weights and amounts
of double-stranded PCR products simple and fast. A higher intensity reference band runs at 500bp.
